Phemex Review
Quick take
Phemex offers Flexible Savings and a separate lending pool where supplied assets earn interest from borrowers. Flexible Savings can be redeemed without a fixed term, while lending rates update hourly with pool use. The main correction to the existing review is eligibility: Phemex’s current Earn terms require KYC, and Phemex does not serve U.S. customers. Fixed Savings is described in the terms but is currently unavailable.
How earning works
Flexible Savings accepts supported assets and credits rewards on a daily schedule. Auto-Transfer can move an eligible USDT spot balance into Flexible Savings automatically. The rate is tiered by balance and can change. Interest compounds while it remains in the savings balance.
The lending protocol is separate. You supply assets to a pool used by overcollateralized borrowers. Supply APY updates hourly based on pool utilization, and interest is sent to the lending account. Redemption is generally available in real time, but the product reserves exceptions for unusual conditions or insufficient liquidity. Fixed Savings, when offered, uses set terms and can forfeit the fixed reward on an early exit. You can compare crypto lending rates and compare crypto interest rates.
Rates, fees, and requirements
The first balance tier can receive a higher Flexible Savings rate, while amounts above it earn less and an individual cap applies. Promotions and interest-boost coupons can raise returns only for a limited amount and period. Lending APY changes hourly and should not be presented as fixed.
KYC is required before subscribing to Earn products. Phemex excludes U.S. customers and other restricted locations. Check whether the rate is paid in the deposited asset or PT, the current tier thresholds, and the redemption time shown before supplying.
Custody and key risks
Phemex controls Savings balances. Lending adds borrower, collateral, liquidation, and pool-liquidity risks. Overcollateralization reduces but does not remove the chance of loss during a rapid market move. Rates can change after subscription, and the Earn terms say even a fixed-product rate is not guaranteed to remain constant. Account restrictions or an exchange failure can also block access.
Related features
Phemex offers spot and derivatives trading, loans, Launchpool campaigns, bots, and copy trading. Launchpool and on-chain products have different reward sources and should not be combined with Savings in one rate claim.
Best for
Best for verified non-U.S. customers who want variable exchange lending or flexible savings and will monitor changing rates and pool conditions.
