WhiteBIT Review

Quick take

WhiteBIT Crypto Lending lets customers lend supported assets to the exchange through flexible or fixed plans. The exchange says these funds can support margin and futures trading. Terms range from short plans to new commitments of 720 or 1,080 days, with the highest rates reserved for the longest plans. The key tradeoff is access: ordinary early closure may forfeit all income, while some long-term plans preserve only the reward earned through the last completed checkpoint.

How earning works

You choose an asset, term, and amount from the Crypto Lending page. Each plan has its own minimum, maximum, and rate. Income is paid in the deposited cryptocurrency and normally moves to the Main Balance when the plan ends. You cannot add funds to an open plan, though separate plans may be available.

WhiteBIT describes the product as lending assets to the exchange. Its support material says customer funds can be made available to margin and futures customers who pay financing charges. This is not native staking for BTC or stablecoins. You can compare crypto lending rates and compare stablecoin interest rates.

Rates, fees, and requirements

The rate rises with term length, and the most prominent maximum can require a commitment measured in years. Current plans include terms as long as 720 and 1,080 days. Special offers may also depend on country, registration date, KYC, pool capacity, or a one-time subscription rule.

For many ordinary plans, early closure returns principal but no reward. Some new long-term plans use checkpoints: closing after a completed checkpoint can preserve a lower accrued rate, while closing before the first checkpoint pays no interest. Check the preliminary payout and checkpoint schedule before confirming. Identity verification and country access require a hand test; the current CMS claim that KYC is unnecessary should not remain without evidence.

Custody and key risks

WhiteBIT controls the assets and lends them within its exchange operation. Customers face platform, borrower, liquidation, liquidity, and account-access risks. A long term can prevent a sale during a severe price decline. Checkpoint protection does not make the advertised maturity rate available early, and token-denominated principal does not protect its dollar value. Stablecoins can also lose their target price.

Related features

WhiteBIT offers spot and derivatives trading, crypto borrowing, automated investing, a card in eligible regions, and WBT-linked account features. These may suit an existing customer but add separate trading and exchange-token risks.

Best for

Best for eligible customers who want term-based exchange lending and can match the plan length to funds they will not need early.
