Why trust Coin Interest Rate?

Our team independently tracks and reviews crypto rates, rewards and product features to help readers compare more than the advertised rate. We use official provider websites, product documentation and other relevant sources when evaluating products.

  • 80+ crypto platforms tracked across staking, lending, cards and other digital asset products.
  • Hundreds of rates tracked alongside features, availability and key risk factors.
  • Independent comparisons. Compensation does not guarantee favorable coverage. Editorial control remains ours.

We compared 5 qualifying SOL staking products and ranked the top 5. CIR score determines the order; current rates and product terms help you evaluate the ranked options.

Risk note: SOL staking products are not insured bank accounts. Confirm how returns are generated, who controls the assets and when withdrawals are available. Disclosure: Rates and terms change. Some outbound links may compensate Coin Interest Rate, but compensation does not determine inclusion or ranking order.

How we chose these picks
  1. 1.A product must have an active, normalized SOL-specific rate explicitly categorized as staking. A general platform staking tag alone does not qualify.
  2. 2.Only active offers from publicly listed platforms qualify.
  3. 3.CIR score definitively determines rank among matching platforms.
  4. 4.An exact CIR-score tie is resolved by base rate, then maximum rate, then platform name.
  5. 5.Rates, terms, geography, custody and requirements are displayed for evaluation and do not override CIR score.

How Solana staking produces rewards

Solana uses proof of stake, so SOL can earn native staking rewards when it is delegated to a validator participating in the network. Rewards are connected to the protocol’s issuance and validator performance rather than borrower interest. This makes genuine SOL staking economically different from a lending account or a promotional earn balance.

A staking platform can handle validator selection, delegation, reward accounting and withdrawals for the user. That convenience changes the custody and control model, but it does not change the underlying need to understand validator performance, fees and unstaking rules. This ranking requires an explicitly categorized SOL staking offer rather than relying on a general platform tag.

Custodial staking, direct delegation and liquid staking

With custodial staking, the platform controls the account or pooled stake and presents the user with a simplified balance. Direct delegation generally leaves SOL in a user-controlled wallet while assigning its stake weight to a validator. Liquid staking introduces a separate receipt token that can potentially be transferred or used elsewhere while the underlying SOL remains staked.

These approaches solve different problems. Custodial services can be easier to use but add platform and withdrawal risk. Direct delegation provides more control but requires wallet and validator decisions. Liquid-staking tokens improve flexibility but introduce smart-contract, liquidity and price-tracking risks that do not exist in the same form with ordinary delegation.

  • Custodial staking emphasizes convenience and platform-managed operations.
  • Direct delegation emphasizes wallet control and validator selection.
  • Liquid staking emphasizes composability and liquidity through another token.

Why SOL staking rates differ between platforms

SOL staking rates can differ because providers use different validators, commission schedules, reward calculations and fee structures. A platform may also supplement native rewards with a temporary promotion or quote a rate before deducting its service fee. Small differences should be interpreted alongside the calculation method and the date the rate was checked.

CIR score determines the order on this page; the advertised staking rate does not. The rate, product structure and term are displayed so readers can evaluate the ranked providers. If two platforms have the same CIR score, the documented tie-breaking rules apply, but a higher percentage alone never moves a lower-scored platform above a higher-scored one.

SOL lockups, activation and unstaking time

Native staking is not always immediately active or liquid. Delegation and deactivation follow network timing, while a custodial provider can add its own processing schedule. A platform describing a product as flexible may provide internal liquidity, but users should not assume that all staked SOL can be withdrawn instantly during periods of high demand or operational disruption.

Check when rewards begin, whether there is a minimum staking period and how long withdrawal normally takes. Also determine whether rewards compound automatically or remain separate. These details can matter more than a small rate advantage when the SOL may be needed for trading, transfers or collateral.

SOL staking risks and geographic eligibility

Native SOL staking avoids borrower credit risk, but it is not risk free. Validator underperformance can reduce rewards, while custody failures, account restrictions and operational errors can affect platform-managed staking. Liquid-staking arrangements add another token and smart-contract layer. SOL price volatility can also outweigh the value of staking rewards measured in dollars.

Availability varies by country and, in some cases, by state or product. Confirm that the specific staking service—not merely the exchange or app—is available where you live. Review custody, validator disclosure, commissions, unstaking terms and any liquid-staking token before committing SOL.

  • Validator performance and commission risk
  • Custody and platform access risk
  • Unstaking delays and liquidity risk
  • Smart-contract and receipt-token risk for liquid staking
  • SOL market-price volatility

Frequently asked questions

What determines the best SOL staking platform?

CIR score determines this ranking. Rates, access, custody, terms and requirements are shown separately so readers can decide whether a highly ranked product fits their needs.

How many SOL platforms were compared?

5 platforms currently meet the structured eligibility rules. The top 5 are shown, and the list updates automatically as qualifying offers change.

Is the highest SOL rate always the best choice?

No. A maximum rate may be conditional, while platform, custody, counterparty, liquidity and market risks can matter more than a small APY difference.
